Walking the Bypass Reviewed in Harper’s Magazine!

I’m so happy that Walking the Bypass: Notes on Place from the Side of the Road has been reviewed in the October 2025 issue Harper’s Magazine! The digital version is online now; physical copies will be on newsstands soon and in subscribers’ mailboxes even sooner. So many wonderful books don’t get this kind of attention; I’m grateful for the sustained, thorough engagement that the reviewer, Dan Piepenbring, brings to what I’ve written.
